blessed

the Lord has truly blessed me with peace & for that I am beyond thankful.

i have officially began support raising.
things are becoming so real to me now.
& i am so excited to see all that is in store.

in all of the excitement, my prayer is that the Lord would continue to use me here and now in auburn. that i would be present and focused and embrace the opportunities he has before me now. but that i would be continually preparing for the journey ahead.

pray for:

-my ability to balance, with my school work load increasing
-continued peace
-the people of addis ababa
-my team that is already at work in ethiopia

so what will I be doing in Ethiopia?

i will be teaching at an international school in the city of Addis Ababa, Bingham Academy. it is a k-12 school, serving students of missionaries & diplomats. the students are from all across the world and i will be teaching in english. i will live on campus in an apartment. Bingham provides the awesome opportunity to combine the two passions & calls the Lord has placed in my life, teaching & ministry. it will be such a blessing to be able to incorporate my faith & the incredible love of Christ into my classroom.

outside of teaching at the school, i will be a member of CMF's urban poor team in Addis Ababa. as a part of the urban poor ministry, i will have the incredible opportunity to reach out to the poorest of poor in the slums of Addis. we will work alongside the community to help them create change in their community, creating a better life, and introducing them to the beautiful love, grace & peace of the Lord. most of my team is already in Addis and has been working & has seen God do some amazing things and now are feeling the Lord's calling to find a new community to work in. they are currently searching for a new slum to begin work in, this will be the project i am involved in.

the beginning

i am in such an exciting time in life.

in the middle of an incredible senior year. and doing my best to embrace where the Lord has me right now & all the great things he is doing.

also in preparation for the great things to come.

in just 9 months i will graduate from Auburn and follow the Lord's calling on my life to Addis, Ababa Ethiopia, to serve with CMF (christian missionary fellowship).
